Dented Dennis

Who got hurt? Dennis Quaid

What happened? Quaid was in full American Football get-up working on Everybody's All-American back in 1989 when Tim Fox, real-life player for the New England Patriots, tackled the actor, resulting in a broken collarbone. "It was the very last hit I had to take, and I was going out of bounds. I guess a player once got his helmet knocked off one time when he was going out of bounds. They wanted to recreate that."

Shooting was halted for weeks so that he could recover. The injury left Quaid rolling in agony on the sidelines and being the consummate professional that he is, director Taylor Hackford naturally… left the scene in the movie.
