Busted Keaton

Who got hurt? Buster Keaton

What happened? If stars like Angelina and Shia think they're brave for putting up with a bit of pain in the name of cinema, they've got nothing on the master. Keaton did everything, and for 1932's Sherlock, Jr., he was supposed to get drenched by a water tower's hose.

Sadly, the powerful blast of liquid knocked him off the tower and on to the railroad tracks below. And here's the impressive bit - he didn't notice that his neck was broken. FOR 10 YEARS. He walked away from the stunt and, a decade later, went to the doctor for a completely unrelated matter. When he learned what had happened, he casually tossed off something about it explaining his years of headaches. Frankly, the only name celebrity who has endured more these days is Jackie Chan - whose on-set injuries would fill an entire book by themselves.
