Ice Planet Hoth (The Empire Strikes Back)

Forget Chamonix; this winter there's only one destination for the powder crowd. That's right, Hoth is the gnarly new winter spot, where despite unforgiving terrain, year-round sub-zero temperatures and nosey probe droids, Rebel Alliance hipsters are flocking to the ice planet du jour to ski the most incredible slopes in the galaxy. Boarding, skiing, lugeing, tauntaun riding it's all here. Word of warning though: aprs-ski is pretty limited, the local wildlife will eat you, and there may be AT-ATs on the blue run. Keep your wits about you and stay frosty!

For an alternative winter break, hit the slopes of Rura Penthe, the Klingon Empire's up-and-coming penal asteroid. Think Butlins with more Klingons.
