Now trading under the name Saddle Ranch Chop House, the biker-themed diner set up by Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper was the closest you could get to an Easy Rider dining experience, short of munching beans around a desert campfire with an epically stoned Jack Nicholson. It took its name from a Steppenwolf lyric, had Harleys parked out front, more leather than the entire cast of Mad Max and was definitely not a destination for the gastronomically faint of heart. The signature dish was 'Kick-ass Chili', a concoction that could beat the hell out of your taste buds without even trying.
