Livin' Like A Movie Star
Sundance Resort
Proprietor: Robert Redford

Location: Mount Timpanogos, Utah, USA

Actor. Director. Producer. Activist. Horse Whisperer. Robert Redford's biog is Tolstoy-long even before you add 'Hotelier' and 'Film-festival-organiser' to the list. In truth, the Sundance Resort isn't really extra-curricular: Redford spends more time in Utah fiddling with projectors and presiding over indie film goodness these days than in Hollywood. He was originally drawn to the slopes of Utah's Mount Timpanogos by then-wife, Lola Van Wagenen, a native of the state, buying the place in 1969 and naming it after his character in the recently-completed Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid. Lucky then he didn't buy it a couple of years later in the wake of The Sting - 'The Hooker Resort' doesn't have quite the same ring.
