What with all the hullabaloo about Russell Crowe's stab at Robin Hood, we got to thinking about what became of Patrick Bergin, the Irish actor who starred in the other Robin Hood (the non-Costner one) back in 1991. And then we flicked on an episode of Hustle a few weeks back, and there he was, playing a smooth Irish villain. For a while, the handsome and honey-voiced Bergin was tipped as a Next Big Thing after menacing Julia Roberts in Sleeping With The Enemy and provoking Harrison Ford into an angry finger-jab or two in Patriot Games. But then Bergin, now 58, made a succession of bad choices (Lawnmower Man 2, anyone? Anyone?), and that was that.

Although I love Mr Stewart, I have to go with Patrick Warburton - fantastic as The Tick he also showed up in the criminally underated Disney film The Emperors New Groove as Kronk, the all muscle, no brain sidekick.
