The late, lamented McGoohan was best known as a TV star in the likes of The Prisoner and Danger Man (not to mention countless episodes of Columbo, playing a different murderer each time). But he brought his mellifluous voice and cultivated, sinister presence to bear in several excellent films, notably Escape From Alcatraz, David Cronenberg's Scanners, and most memorably, as the cruel and embittered Edward Longshanks in Braveheart.

The bit where he does his own theme tune is classic! So if you haven't seen it yet peeps, get a copy! Read More
