Ron Burgundy | Anchorman
Hold The Front Page! 14 Movie Journalists
Ron Burgundy
Anchorman

Outlet: Channel 4 News

What's the scoop? Channel 4 New's four-time Emmy-winning, scotch-quoffing, dog-loving, blazer-wearing anchor is not the last word in political correctness. And with journalist instincts that don't extend much further than reading out the autocue (complete with added punctuation), he's not exactly the last word in news either. That is, until aspiring anchorwoman Veronica Corningstone usurps his spot on the newsdesk and forces him to raise his game. Ron's clique of newsroom brontosauruses makes life tough for Corningstone, but as sports reporter Champ Kind points out, "It's anchorman, not anchorlady. And that is a scientific fact!"

Would they sell their granny? By great Odin's raven, yes!

Hold the front page! Burgundy is a skilled jazz flute player. In your face, Peter Sissons.

A couple of options for the fine Gregory Peck, with an's Agreement Delighted to see Hildy Johnson in there. I love, love, love l Fridayf my favourite films. The day I ever meet a Walter, no matter how nice he is, he'll be told that he's wonderful, in a loathsome sort of way. Read More
