8 Blatantly Misleading Movie Posters | Bridge Over The River Kwai 8 Blatantly Misleading Movie Posters
Bridge Over The River Kwai
Things that are accurate about this poster include, (1) the bridge, and (2) er, that's it. The pull quote is misleading (this is an adventure in the same way that Downfall is a costume drama), it's made to look like a film largely about William Holden, the character illustrations are really weird (Alec Guinness looks like he's just bumped into a troupe of puppies performing headstands), and to top it off, it's completely spoilerific. And we may be nitpicking here, but what's with the exclamation mark in Lawrence Of Arabia?
