8 Blatantly Misleading Movie Posters East Is East
A handy way of, er, pulling in the punters, pull quotes are a simple business: critics write nice things about a film and their choicest adjectives are dragged from the sentence they like to call home and plonked shivering and confused on the poster in 50 point bold. In the case of East Is East, there were lots of complimentary adjectives to choose from - but the selection chosen gave the distinct impression that this Brit indie was a laugh-a-minute comic romp, rather than an ambitious, if occasionally humour-edged, attempt to tackle race relations in urban Britain.

I was going to suggest Phantom Menace, but apart from Maul's eyes, all that poster promised was a naked Threepio, some bint with a funny hairdo and odd makeup, an annoying brat, McGregor looking like a berk, and a floppy-eared moron. And Liam Neeson.
