Matt Damon: The Most Self-Deprecating Star In Hollywood I'm Sorry, But We've Run Out Of Time
Lots of you will have seen the legendary "I'm Fucking Matt Damon" video that comedienne Sarah Silvermann made for her boyfriend, talkshow host Jimmy Kimmel. What audiences in this country may not be aware of is some of the background to that video: for years, Kimmel had been finishing shows by claiming that Matt Damon was waiting backstage but they'd run out of time. When Damon finally did show up to the programme, he was issued a grovelling apology and a lengthy introduction lauding his achievements - but it still doesn't go quite to plan. Oh, and he's still fucking Sarah Silvermann apparently.

I've loved Matt Damon for such a long time and its precisely because of his totally obvious down to earth personality he has.
I just sat and hooted through all those clips, despite seeing most of them before. I think my personal favourite and the one I've watched the most is the red carpet bump by Guillermo because you can tell this one wasn't planned. Matt's face when he realises Guillermo is with Kemmel's show is brilliant - you can see it in his reluctant grin that he's thinking, 'oh no, he didn't just do that to me!' You can see he's walking away thinking 'the swine!' I absolutely love it.
As for Team America - I actually sometimes get frustrated by the constant quoting of that because, his ability for self deprecation aside, I genuinely rate Matt Damon as an actor, and I can't say ghim in that respect without yecting with 'Maaatt Daaamon', it can get so tedious if you're trying to enjoy a serious conversation about him.
