Yeah his book is very good, and YES to this scene (although I think video is a US cut and has bits missing):

What about the wind tunnel fight sequence from Operation Condor? Another one I would list is the 7 Drunken Immortals fight at the end of Drunken Master. I would definitely recommend his book, it is fascinating, and at the end he lists all his movies, his injuries and most dangerous stunts. Jackie Chan is a living legend, he makes Chuck Norris and even Bruce Lee (who Jackie did stunts for) look like wusses. Read More

A lovely collection and truly worthy of including. However, there were some notable absences as already cited in the list - and I think including CG/wire moments kind of undermines Jackie's earlier work. Mind you - if I was his age with his number of injuries I'd use a fricking wire too.
A true comic genius and genuine hard working bloke. Read More

Just looking at that bit from goergeous, i dont even get the context but its still awesome & better than the fight scenes from a lot of straight action movies in recent years & it's from a rom com (Shame about the music which sounds like something from a super nintendo boss battle). It's got me thinking what if they had recast You've got mail with Jet Li in the Tom Hanks part & Donnie Yen instead of Greg Kinnear. Cue awesome bookshop smackdown. Read More

Thanks for that list. Jackie's the man.
Nice to see that scene from Shanghai Knights again. I do love those Shanghai films. Better than the Rush Hour ones. He should have done another Shanghai film not another bloody Rush Hour! Read More

What about the jump from the parking lot structure to the window across the street? I think that deserved much more credit than the Shanghai Knights scene. First time, I saw that my jaw literally dropped. One of the most amazing stunts I've ever seen. Read More

You don't mention the stunt that makes this sequence so unvelievable. THAT slide down that pole at the end is totally fucking bonkers. Chan himself said a few years back that he was stupid to have even done it and considers it the most dangerous and one of the most painful stunts he ever did. Still, it is awesome. Read More

| Posted on Friday March 19, 2010, 01:12 by rich |
Did it really need any of his movies past 1997? And yes it's Harold Lloyd not Buster Keaton. AND the scene in Dragon Lord that took the record for most takes used is the "pyramid fight" at the start of the film not the football game. Police Story 2 and Operation Condor need including, surely.

Is one of the best fights hands down!!! I met Brad Allen when i was working at a shoe store and he was really surprised anyone recognized him. He was a great guy, very funny and he told me that working with Jackie is the greatest thing anyone can do in their lives. He said that the two fights in Gorgeous are his favorites.
