You almost certainly haven’t seen it, but Angelina Jolie directed a documentary called A Place In Time, where she sent actors and filmmakers around the globe to capture the same three-minute span in 27 countries around the world. While it screened at Tribeca a while back, since then it’s mostly been shown in schools, to help kids understand that we’re basically all the same. OK, that’s not quite Play Misty For Me, but it’s a step in the right direction.
Assuming she ever takes a break from adopting kids, kicking ass and taking names, Jolie could do a lot worse than to follow that up. Give her another 30 years and she might direct Formerly Wanted, wherein she’s an aged super-assassin called in for one last bendy-bulleted job.
