The Indiana Jones Novels | Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Sphinx
Indiana Jones and the Secret of the Sphinx

Written by: Max McCoy

Indy hunts for the staff of Aaron and the magical Omega Book, a journey that takes him across several continents in rapid succession, with potential romantic interest Faye Maskelyne and her ingenious, if daftly named, daughter Mystery. Probably the most exciting part of the book is that it contains a chapter entitled The Crystal Skull, although it is no way indicative of the plot of the new movie.

1 Crystal Skulls (and what you left out)
If memory serves the Crystal Skull actually makes an appearance in all Max McCoy's novels, even though it's not the "MacGuffin" of any. Indy has a disturbing vision with it and leaves it there. I think it involved CGI prairie dogs... Oh, and you missed out the most recent novel: Indiana Jones and the Army of the Dead, featuring voodoo, zombies, and (rather unnecessarily) Mac. There was also another Rob McGregor novel, Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, that tied in to the videogame, but sadly was cancelled even though it's complete. I wish you guys had covered the main videogames. Fate of Atlantis in particular should've been the fourth film. More

2 why George why?
most of these sound like they would have been better than KOTCS. Grrrrr I hate that film so much... Actually, that's not true: most of these sound really dumb, but the Struzan covers are awesome. More
