Remake Or Original: A Horror Poster Face-Off
The Thing

Howard Hawks' The Thing From Another World relies heavily on the combination of the director's good name and a screaming brunette for its impact, and injects gravitas with the help of a bunch of military-looking types. Surely, however, it's knocked into a cocked hat by the Drew Struzan designed effort for John Carpenter's version. Sure, Struzan hadn't seen the film and this is at best a sideways take on its story - but it's still ace.
