9 Creepy Horror Kids — Then And Now | Linda Blair
Linda Blair

Film: The Exorcist (1976)

Then: Pea soup puke. Head twisting. Crucifix… manipulating. There are few horror kids as iconic as Linda Blair’s Regan MacNeill. Seared on to the eye sockets of film watchers thanks to The Exorcist and, to a lesser extent, Exorcist II: The Heretic, she was Oscar nominated for the role.

Now: After some legal troubles in the 1970s, she continues to work fairly solidly, spoofing her most famous role in 1990’s Repossessed and specialising in low-budget horror movies. She also played a police woman in an episode of Supernatural that ended with the leads heading off for some refreshing pea soup.

1 What about that blue kid from The Grudge?
He's pretty creepy too!. Also I think the shirt of Haley Joel Osment could use a wash :) Actually, I've made exactly the same kind of article, except it's an infographic, maybe that'll interest you: http://www.horroronscreen.com/?p=7829 More

4 Horror has definitely changed
I wonder if all these kids were subjected to the same crap Linda Blair had to deal with after the Exorcist, she was forced to move out her town as people though she was really possesed. Some of these kids have etched fear onto the minds of many an adult and child after seeing these movies. I hope they are proud of this achievement. Such a shame that they all seem to have been dropped after they made the studios millions, as it the sad fact with most child actors. But I enjoyed the above feature and its good to find out where they are all now. Wasn't there a similar feature previously in Empire's magazine each month on the Where are they now..... More
