L: blaydon roth Does empire think it's readers did not get an education in the English language or this for the benefit of the American population, who for the most part would probably need an idiot card to sing along with their national anthem. Although with a Welsh father and North Eastern mother I think I Qualify as bi-lingual lol ..I can even watch Geordie Shore without the subtitles think it might have been prompted by some idiot comments about Saoirse Ronan - by UK posters, I hasten to add. 19 RE: Grammar rodeo
Seriously, EMPIRE? The "Pronunciation respelling for English" system from American dictionaries? Aren't you an European, and for that matter, an tionalne, and should therefore use ernational Phonetic Alphabet Americans just ] to stick doing things their own way, with their "US customary units", "American Sign Language" and this abomination that is useful to non-native English speakers. In my country, they started teaching us the IPA symbols on the i] grade. And that was years ago! Who knows how much earlier it had been introduced to the educational system. mple:://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlize_Theron And the robo-voice? Sheesh, did nobody have the time to record a living human being pronouncing the names? Disappointed, after 19 years of usually witnessing quality work from you. Read More
