What's Going On In That Hobbit Scroll Poster?
We dissect the ten scenes on show in the latest Peter Jackson promo

submit to reddit

Peter Jackson’s epic, two-part take on The Hobbit arrives this Christmas and next, and ahead of the first serious glimpse of the film at Comic-Con later this week we posted a scroll-along poster for the film. But what are you looking at in it? We take a book-loving eye to the line-up – so there will be some spoilers if you haven’t read the book. But we will try not to give too much away.

Scroll left and right to view image (scrollbar beneath image) and hover over the marker   to reveal our notes.

I'm guessing that the poster for part 2 will attach to the right and side of this, placing the logo in the middle and telling the whole story, tying in with the forest river trip being at the end of the film. Will look (even more) awesome when it's completed if that's the case! More

2 Thanks Empire
It's a cool image and you helped clear up a few things for me that I was a little murky on. I was very grateful that it wasn't one of those articles where you have to keep clicking on the 'Next' button every second to get to the next image like so many other websites are doing nowadays. They really annoy me! Keep up the good work! More
