The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) The Players: Borg lookalike and tennis prodigy Richie "The Baumer" Tenenbaum (Luke Wilson) takes on Sanjay Gandhi (Sanjay Matthew) at Windswept Field. Key Spectators: Richie's adopted sister Margo (Gwyneth Paltrow), with whom he is in love, and her new husband Raleigh St Claire (Bill Murray). Oh I Say! Gandhi is 4-0 in the third set, being two sets to love up (6-0, 6-0). The commentators (actually director Wes Anderson and Andrew "brother of Luke and Owen" WIlson) inform us Tenenbaum has made 72 unforced errors and ruminate on whether he is crying or not. A defeated man, he takes of his shoes and one sock off, serves underarm and is severely punished for it. He sits down. This humiliation in front of thousands of fans causes him to retire from the game permanently. Tips for any younger players watching: Never bring your personal life onto the court. And if it's not going well, give up.
