20 Kick Ass Casting Suggestions For Expendables 3 | Kurt Russell
Kurt Russell

Who's that? A solid tough guy, now aging into credible cragginess, and Stallone’s co-star in ‘80s action fondue Tango & Cash. Veteran of John Carpenter’s Escape From New York (and, ahem, LA), The Thing and Big Trouble In Little China. Paid millions for being stoic and wordless in Paul WS Anderson’s Soldier. Employed by Quentin Tarantino as Stuntman Mike in Death Proof, although he didn’t end up appearing in Django Unchained as originally planned.

Last seen: Football drama Touchback is Russell’s only release since Death Proof, but he’s got The Art Of The Steal in the can, and Bone Tomahawk on the way.

21 my list was better
I did a similar thing to this way back in August last year. Honestly, i think Empire has missed a few corkers. http://whatculture.com/film/15-badasses-we-would-like-t o-see-in-the-expendables-3.php More

Come on Sly, get an awesome script together about a car load of drugs being smuggled in from Marseille and lure Gene Hackman out of retirement. Give him the bad guy role - what I would give to see Mr Hackman have just one more crack at the title. More

23 Reb Brown
Starred in virtually all direct-to-video knock-offs of major action hits during the 80's. Forgotten by virtually everyone on the Earth except for cult internet ranter The SpoonyOne. More

What about Mr Knightrider himself David Hasselhoff? if the expendables was intended to be cheesy, who is more cheesy than Michael Knight and KITT? definately agree Mr T needs to be in this. More

27 This list needs to be fatter..
Chow Yun Fat-ter! Charismatic, funny, heroic and let's be honest... one of the most expendable heroes in cinema, the guy often dies or is more than willing to die... he would bring genuine humour to these films... ship out dead weight Couture and bring in Chow! Or Anthony Wong as an insane villain... be great to see him in Western cinema! More

Definitely agree with both Empire's suggestion of Snipes and the above suggestion of Michael Biehn, both should appear at some point if they're doing this big action get together properly. Would also like to see Mark Dacascos (Drive, Crying Freeman) in a villainous role. I like most of the ideas in the article bar Connery (stay retired), cameos by Ford and Eastwood (perhaps as opposing figures in whatever conflict the Expendables are involved in) would be amazing, but Eastwood will never do it, Ford would have been a definite no as well, but I would have said the same about him appearing in Anchorman 2! 29 Mr. T?
We've had one of Sly's main opponents, you've suggested Carl Weathers, so why no the other main Rocky foe? More

30 Michael Beihn??
Surely the Beihn-ster, should be on this list too? Terminator, Aliens, The Rock? More
