"This is pretty funny. These are the dwarfs with their noses over the end of the bed having discovered Snow White. And Ward Kimball tells a funny story about coming up with this idea as a gag. And in the film if you remember when their noses pop over the bed it goes pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop. Well that was (Ward Campbell)’s idea for a gag. He got paid $5. In the Depression that was a lot of money. It’s kind of ludicrous now but you remember 1937 you could go and get dinner for 35 cents. So $5 was good payment."
The ultimate Disney classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is available on Disney Blu-ray from the 2 November and DVD from 9 November.
