South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999)

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut
Composer: Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Marc Shaiman
Whatever we expected from a South Park movie, an enormous musical, riffing on Les Mis and Oklahoma!, probably wasn’t it. Standout numbers include Stan’s movie-opener Mountain Town, the rousing Blame Canada, and Cartman’s globetrotting Kyle’s Mom’s A Bitch, an upgrade from a previous TV outing. But La Resistance is also awe-inspiring, and it’s hard not to love Uncle Fucka. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are, of course, responsible (if that’s the word – which it isn’t), along with Marc Shaiman, the man who took John Waters’ Hairspray to Broadway. Having skewered show tunes to their satisfaction here, they then went after rock opera for Team America: World Police. Fuck yeah.

21 Yes, but...
These aren't designed as 'Greatest-of' lists or even compendiums of the scores we love the most. Without being all highfaluting, the aim is to try to capture a moment in time - in movies and popular culture - and like them or not, The Bodyguard and Titanic soundtracks were HUGE. They sold more than 70m copies between them, dominated radio playlists and came attached to two huge hits. More

22 What a predictably boring selection for the 90's!
You left out some of the best soundtracks: Léon; The Straight Story; Se7en; The Thin Red Line; Grosse Pointe Blank; Cruel Intensions; Human Traffic; The Virgin Suicides; Kikujiro and instead you include Bodyguard and Titanic!? More
