I’d like to take this opportunity to address a grievous wrong. Amid all the carnage the other day we managed to miss the panel for Matthew Vaughn’s awesome Kick Ass and thus didn't bring you any coverage - a fact Vaughn was kind enough to point out to us while kicking our asses when we spoke to him later that day. All we can do is apologise profusely for the oversight. In our defence everything here seems to conflict with everything else and at the time I was sipping Margheritas with Jim Cameron over at his hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter (CLANG, I’m sorry did you drop this name?).
By all accounts the footage absolutely rocked the hall, earning a standing ovation from all concerned - which nothing else has so far managed. Kick Ass looks set to live up to its name so make sure you keep an eye out.

You know what to do Empire. The only way to make up for this glaring oversight is to invite Matthew Vaughn to Movie-Con II and present the footage so we can make up our own minds! Pretty please?

I've seen the Comic Con trailer for KICK-ASS and like Ronseal Power Spray, it does what it says on the tin - kick ass!
If anybody who loves the comic book (like me) was worrying if the more edgy-er aspects of the book (graphic violence perpetrated by kids, bad language etc) would be watered down for the film - fear not, the talk is just as crude and a lot of the comic's set pieces, like the controversial origin of Hit Girl, are just like how they are in the comic.
But before any of you Fanboys get horrible WATCHMEN flashbacks - don't worry, there's a lot of COOL CHANGES from in the comic book. Like a really cool slo-mo action scene where some mobsters tell Hit Girl to drop her gun. She unclips it but manages to fall down, flip her gun upside down so the magazines fall back into their slots and starts shooting Goodfella ass! LOL
Also gone is Kick-Ass's green Spidey look becuz he has a mouth hole and gone to is his Blonde hair, replaced by a brown curly mop which some would say is a bit Kevin Keegan but I think he looks more like Emile Hirsch in 'Milk'.
Oh, and the tag line is AWESOME!: ''With No Power Comes No Responsibilty''
Overall, a really cool trailer and I'm SUPER EXCITED for the movie!

One thing which has not been mentioned anywhere at all, and which I think deserves special attention is Jane Goodman, the co-writer aka Jonathan Ross' wife. What a hottie!!! How did wossy pull a girl like that?!?!
