Striking a balance between kick-ass sound and discreet, aesthetically-pleasing speakers always tricky but the A102 HCS5 5.1 speaker set from Jamo manages to nail it dead on. It's hard to believe you can squeeze thunderous explosions and roaring guitars from such tiny little boxes but, as the lobby gunfight in The Matrix testified, these stylish speakers don't pull any punches. We can't fault the range on these, either, be it for movies, gaming or kicking back with a CD. If you want to shake your living room to the foundation without cluttering the place with big black boxes, Jamo's collection of tiny powerhouses are difficult to beat.
