Video: Cannes 2008 Day 10 Posted on Saturday May 24, 2008, 10:41 by Chris Hewitt
If you go down to the Market today, you're in for a big surprise... yes, today's installment of Empire's Cannes Videblogisodes sees Chris Hewitt venture down to the bewildering Rubik's Cube that is the Cannes Film Market, and try to make sense of it all. Luckily, he has help from FrightFest's Alan Jones, Paul McEvoy and Johanna Salomaki in the blog that may be low on gags, but makes up for it with pluck, spirit and spunk!

I loved the bit where Chris looks at his watch (3:31) during the conversation, I could see he was enjoying the interview...... ;) |

Any time spent with the Frightfest guys is time well spent, but yes, I admit, I was looking at my watch. We had a press conference to get to, and we were RUNNING OUT OF TIME! No disrespect intended to Alan, Paul and Johanna.
In tomorrow's blog, I interrupt Clint Eastwood by yawning in his face and yelling, 'SHUT UP! SHUT UP, OLD-TIMER! NOBODY CARES!' |

Wow! Frightfest and Empire in one videoblogisode - my geek levels are going through the roof (shouldn't you just call it a webisode like Battlestar Galactica or a weblogisode). |

We might be doing a blog from FrightFest this year. We'll see. As for the webisode idea... well, it's been done, so why go there? Videblogisode sums it up perfectly - it's on video. It's a blog. It's an episode. It WILL catch on, dammit! |

At least you guys haven't done they huge list of credits like they do on DVD extras when they list the director, producer, writer, a long copyright protection warning...for a 30 second interview! always comes as a wee bit pretentious :s
...But you could give it a try :D |
