A Brief History Of Open Legs Movie Posters | Kingpin
Kingpin

Released: 1996
Director: The Farrelly Brothers
Starring: Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid, Vanessa Angel, Bill Murray

The Farrelly Brothers’ movies are at just the right maturity level for the giant legs poster gimmick to work. And there’s something naturally leggy about bowling – as seen in Big Lebowski’s dream sequences – so there is at least a link there. Shame about the horrible, horrible photoshop, mind… Can anyone bend their head down like that? Really?

8 Broken Lizard!
Seriously, the Broken Lizard movies often have a pair of long legs on the posters. Super Troopers being the main culprit, Puddle Cruiser I suppose is more of a midriff shot, Club Dread is more a full body shot from behind and Beerfest has two women, legs apart on each edge of the poster. More

9 Kingpin
I can't believe you actually think that Vanessa Angel's pose in the Kingpin poster is a Photoshop disaster - it's a joke, playing on the very poster design trope covered by this article! More
