RE: A Good Selection...
Seriously, what’s Cabin Fever doing on that list? OK, it features anal penetration (by finger and off-screen, but still!) but the rest isn’t really all that disturbing. Boring, yes. Badly scripted, acted and directed, true. But blasphemous? Don't think so... ... Read More

RE: A Good Selection...
I know what your saying mate, but the point I was making was that a film that clearly depicts witchcraft and magic is blasphemous unless it has some vague semblence of Christianity running through it. But both those films are slightly daft but very entertaining films. In my veiw there is no agenda there unless you impart it onto the film. It's just top draw entertainment, so our biblebashing friends should take it as such and stop bothering the rest of civilised socioty with puritanical drivel ... Read More

Who is this guy?
Readers, please don't take this guy's word as representative of all Christians. I love the movies, and I love God too. He gave us creativity to make and imagination to enjoy things like movies, books music etc. This guy needs to chill out and just remember it's only fiction!! Does he not reliase that LOTR is heavily influenced by Tolkien's Christian faith? The Simpsons is one of the most heartfelt spiritual shows on TV (it satirises the sillier, human side of it but clearly has a strong res... Read More

RE: The Dumbest Thing Ever!
It just seems to me like the people who write for these sites/magazines or whatever they are can't have seen that many films. Being a fan of the seedier side of cinema myself I could list 100 films off the top of my head that would make them vomit into their bibles out of sheer indignation. And whoever mentioned the possible Preacher TV show has a good point, shame it appears to be linked to Mark Stephen Johnson. ... Read More

The Dumbest Thing Ever!
I am a Christian and I must say the Christian reviewers of these films are ridiculous! They need to grow up and get off their high horses and stop making Christians looking like idiots. Christianity is not about preaching at people what and what not to do or not cussing or drinking or whatever the hell these fundamentalists whine about. They're films! They're funny! And Lord of the Rings? That is one of the best representations of good versus evil! It's fantasy! Of course there's magic! I just h... Read More

Agreed. On the website he talked about 13 year old children listing some of the films they have seen and most said the matrix, scary movie etc but what he didnt realise is that in most cases like this the children see these films with their older brothers/ sisters. While his kids had only seen religious films from the seventies which is silly when they could have listed all the recent pixar films. No offense to how he is raising his kids even if it is a little too sheltered. ... Read More

Where's Harry?
Surely Harry Potter is a worse offender then Lord of the Rings. Seriously it must be so hard to negative all the time. I mean, I just looked at their website now, and their methodology means any film they see they have to look for the bad. Are there any films that get automatic approval? The Passion of the Chirst probably did, maybe the 'Left Behind' series did, as well. ... Read More

RE: Blood runner
L: Ricorodrigeuz I remember when I was with my scout group on St Georges day that the vicar of the cathedral refered LOTR as its story is about the smallest person fighting evil and I see what he means. To me it seems that a lot of childrens films such as LOTR, the golden compass, Mary Poppins, the simpsons movie etc seem to be filled with anti religious elements which just seems stupid. If a film is smashing religion around the face then it is definetly blasphemous but none of the ones I'... Read More

A Total Embarrassment
First off, I'm a Christian, but it's almost an embarrassment for me to say that if it means being termed in the same category as this weirdo reviewing movies. My first question is, why did he even go to see Sin City to Review it? Surely he knew roughly what it was about. But the clincher for me was The Simpson's Movie. Quite blatantly the most heinous and blasphemous film ever made, isn't it? Give me a blessed break. What enjoyment, if any does he get out of cinema? Doesn't he know people ... Read More
