Teen Heartthrobs Are you under the age of 21 and female / gay? Do you just adore chiselled cheekbones and big dreamy eyes? Do you cover your room in posters ripped from magazines, cover your schoolbooks in scribbles that read "Mrs Zac Efron" and generally behave like a slightly demented badger every time someone mentions your true love's name? Well, here are the films that will set your pulse racing this year.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart return in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
On APRIL 2, the dream factory that is Robert "R.Pattz" Pattinson will return in Remember Me, a family drama wherein he play Pierce Brosnan's troubled son. We'd tell you about his troubles with his father or the new relationship he forms with Lost's Emilie de Ravin, but we're pretty sure that anyone who cares stopped paying attention and ran off to book tickets as soon as they finished reading his name.
R.Pattz will of course also star in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse on JULY 9, returning as vampire-with-a-heart-of-gold Edward - and yes, members of Team Jacob, Taylor Lautner is also back as the werewolf rival for the love of Kristen Stewart's Bella. This time they're all threatened by an army of feral and super-strong newborn vampires created by old enemy Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard, replacing Rachel Lefevre), but don't worry: we're sure they'll still find time for plenty of moping about and casting longing looks at one another.
But if enormous stacks of messy hair don't float your boat, fear not! Zac Efron is leaving his singing and dancing days behind him to twinkle his acting toes in Charlie St. Cloud on JUNE 25. An adaptation of the slightly wet but rather charming book by Ben Sherwood, he plays a young man who keeps a promise to his dead brother never to leave him behind by living in a graveyard so he can hang out with his brother's ghost - until, of course, a girl comes along. After Me and Orson Welles this is only Efron's second grown-up starring role, so it will be interesting to see if he can confirm his status as a future superstar.
Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer star in Beastly
And for those who prefer their dreamboats with a British accent (at least in real life), Alex Pettyfer's starring in Beastly on OCTOBER 8. Pettyfer got his big break in Stormbreaker a few years back, but since that turned out not to be such a big deal he's still looking for the film to make him a star, and this New York-set, Gossip Girl-esque twist on the Beauty and the Beast legend might just do the trick, even if he does spend half the film as, well, a beast. High School Musical's Vanessa Hudgens also stars, but expect this to be a thoroughly teen movie.
