The Mechanic

So it’s a gun, made of guns. This Jason Statham / Ben Foster action film is so action that the poster requires a meta-gun.

1 RE: RIVALS
Marcy May Marlene poster is hypnotic to look at. I can't pull my eyes away from it. Love the way the neck of the woman on the right forms part of the mouth on the left. My favourite. More

The MI IV, Submarine and Tyrannasaur posters are magnificent. The Iron Lady poster however does not belong on this list. It's horrific and jarring. "Bangkok Dangerous" horrific. Yep - I went there. More

L: tommypocket That dy is truly dreadful... normally in design you think of an idea like 'maybe her head blends into the Houses of Parliament', try it, realise it doesn't work, think of something else - not those guys... I personally prefer the i] poster with The Driver sat behind the wheel, cooly mulling something cool behind a cool leather driving glove... p; I agree on both points. That Tyrannasaur poster is brilliant. I haven't seen the film due to my lack of being or looking 18 but I think it's brilliant and looks fitting with th film I will be purchasind on dvd. The Submarine poster is very good aswell, that film I loved and the Dark Knight one is awesome; when I saw that on the big screen during the trailer I was just like "WOAH!" Well not literally but you get the idea... More

7 Dance your cares away...
I'm sure it's just me, but when I zoomed in on the mid-bottom right hand corner, I thought I saw two Fraggle Rock style goblin things... Perhap's Mr. Nolan's next project (fingers crossed). Happy new year by the way. More

8 IRON LADY WTF?
EMPIRE said themselves the poster made Streep look like a tumour was growing out of her neck, yet it appears in the Best Movie Poster feature? I thought it was terrible, to be honest. More

9 Captain America Poster
Why does nobody mention his deformed shoulders? Look how far forward they are in this hunched up and completely unnatural pose. Gah! More

I also think the Super 8 poster is supposed to be reminiscient of the scene where they watch the footage, as the camera was on it's side there too. More

The posters for Drive and Shame are so simple, I think that's why they're worked out so well. More
