Harold and Kumar

As seen in: Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004), Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008), A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (2011)

Played by:
John Cho and Kal Penn

Hangers on / third wheel:
Neil Patrick Harris (Neil Patrick Harris)

Defining moment of friendship:

When you bust someone out of jail, it's proof positive that you are officially best friends. Legally. Even if it’s your fault they were in jail in the first place. And if you fall out of an air vent to do so. Then steal some weed from a cop’s desk on your way out of the joint. It's still an act of pure friend-ness.

1 RE: What about Merry and Pippin?
They definitely should! Sam and Frodo, Merry and Pippin and Gimli and Legolas! They all have amazing friendships! And i know Frodo was under the influence of the ring but he was still a bit of a dick to Sam towards the end! I've never been able to forgive him for making Sam cry! That is unacceptable to me! But Merry and Pippin's friendship is definitely the sweetest! More

10 SIDEWAYS
Great list but very sad not to see my favourite movie friends Miles and Jack from Sideways. They complete each-other perfectly and the fact they've been friends since young men is so gently and honestly conveyed. More

Thank you for recognizing that Ocean's 12 has great character work. To me, it more than overshadows the strange heist in the movie and yes, Julia Roberts as Tess as Julia Roberts. More

I know you've got Jay and Silent Bob, but surely Dante and Randal deserve inclusion too? Randal's speechifying in the jail at the end of Clerks II is one of the greatest bits of bromantic cinema ever. More
