Despite the predominantly Shepperton-based shoot, Anna Karenina did involve some location work, although not in Russia. Ham House, the maze at Hatfield House, Didcot Railway Centre and the New Forest all appear – hey, it's 'I-spy' for National Trust members – while Salisbury Plain doubled up as the sun-kissed steppes where Levin (Domhnall Gleeson) farms the land. Here Wright, Taylor-Johnson and crew watch the rushes.
