Alan Tudyk On Alan Tudyk | …On Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
…On Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I play Stephen Douglas and it’s based on the book so there’s a good idea of what’s happening there. It’s Timur Bekmambetov directing, so it’s that book processed through him, with his stamp on it. It’s sort of action, you’ve got vampires and Abraham Lincoln locked in battle. It’s all so funny, the idea’s absolutely ridiculous. So I found myself being a little bit of the ridiculous.

I’m a historical figure so I provide a lot of historical moments, so I seem to show up whenever Abraham Lincoln is making a decision; I work as his foil, you know, the other side of the argument on slavery – which you just don’t get to hear enough of. I’m in cahoots with vampires and Rufus Sewell plays the lead vampire and I haven’t worked with him since A Knight’s Tale so it’s really great working with him. And we’re on the same side, pretty much. Whenever you’re working with vampires it’s like you’ve got an attack dog. And politicians are even less trustworthy so really it’s a bad pairing.

Hampstead Bandit, we could comment until we cry ourselves to sleep at the personal injury that was the cancellation of Firefly. :(( Damn Fox to HELL! More

2 "I am a leaf on the wind - watch how I soar"
Most importantly, Mr Tudyk does get to come out with one of the greatest lines in geekdom history. Just what does that mean?! God, I loved Firefly/Serenity; the greatest TV show that never was. More

4 Strangers With Candy
One of his best rolls to date was on the two-part episode of Strangers With Candy as a cult leader. He was absolutely hilarious. He had some of the best dialogue. More

5 Firefly?
how come no comments about the sublime TV show "Firefly" (which led to the movie Serenity after massive fan protests at the cancellation of the TV show after barely a season) Firefly has just been released on HD Blu-Ray, a comment from the good Mr. Tudyk would have been fantastic good article otherwise.... 7 Tudyk for Hulk!
Alan Tudyk is a genius. He should so play Bruce Banner, as long as they go back to the "don't make him angry" as opposed to "don't let his heart rate get too high" What was that all about? I'm fairly certain that for people who aren't sicko's rage and sexual excitement aren't usually connected..... Anyway, the moment when he changes from a hippy environmentalist architect to a serial killer in Dollhouse with absolutely nothing but a change in posture and facial expression is amazing. He even manages to make his clothes seem to change from pyjamas to a serious outfit. More
