The one-time frontman of the awesomely-named New Wavers Oingo Boingo first met Burton at one of the band's gigs. The two clicked and Burton invited Elfman to score Pee-wee's Big Adventure, the beginning of a long and auspicious relationship. "We were very lucky to connect," says Burton of the man who's scored 12 of his films since. Used to spending time on Burton's sets, watching footage before penning scores, Elfman was presented with a new challenge by Alice In Wonderland's CGI. "Here, I went to visit him and all there was a 'Poor Me' held up on strings in front of a green screen. And I went 'Oh-kaaay', and Tim said, 'I warn you, there will be nothing that can help you.'"

Make us a film please Tim?

The Batman films Tim did were always the best. I always used to read the Batman graphic novels and later there was a Robin set also. It would be good if Tim could make a Robin film, the kind of dark, gothic look would be perfect and you could count on it being well made. The film would write itself virtually and im sure plenty of people would go see it.
Hope for it by 2011ish, sure it will make a packet :-) Read More
