The A To Z Of Tim Burton | Muse

Muse

Though it seems they've been together forever, Tim only met Helena Bonham Carter in 2001 on the set of that ultimate monkey-based cinematic backfire, Planet Of The Apes, where she played Ari. Bonding over a mutual love of Stephen Sondheim and, more specifically, Sweeney Todd, they've been nigh-on inseparable since, moving into side-by-side houses in London's Belsize Park, selling their US homes, and having a couple of kids, Billy Ray and Nell, though they remain unmarried to date. Bonham Carter has appeared in every Burton film since they met, from Mrs Bucket to the Corpse Bride herself (six in total) and they're only rivalled in the loyal, loving relationship stakes by Burton and Depp - though as he's Billy Ray's godfather and also one of Helena's best friends, it's all good.

2 Make us a film please Tim?

The Batman films Tim did were always the best. I always used to read the Batman graphic novels and later there was a Robin set also. It would be good if Tim could make a Robin film, the kind of dark, gothic look would be perfect and you could count on it being well made. The film would write itself virtually and im sure plenty of people would go see it. Hope for it by 2011ish, sure it will make a packet :-) Read More
