Like Spike Jonze, David Fincher and Michel Gondry, Burton has tried his hand at music videos. Unlike his peers who cut their teeth in the music business, however, he came late to the 3-minute promo and, to this date, has made only one. The Killers were the band that got lucky, presumably because they asked really, really nicely. What they got for their Sam's Town single Bones was four minutes of classic Burton: skeletons, Ray Harryhausen tributes (Jason And The Argonauts' stop-motion battle with skeletal soldiers plays on the drive-thru screen), movie references galore, and, by the looks of those black shirts, dibs on the Burton wardrobe.

Make us a film please Tim?

The Batman films Tim did were always the best. I always used to read the Batman graphic novels and later there was a Robin set also. It would be good if Tim could make a Robin film, the kind of dark, gothic look would be perfect and you could count on it being well made. The film would write itself virtually and im sure plenty of people would go see it.
