The 50 Best Posters Of 2013 | Despicable Me 2

DESPICABLE ME 2

Ignore the ‘Honk If You Love Minions’ bus posters and the ‘Phil The French Maid’ one-sheets, because underneath the pile of fart guns and gigantic rocket launchers lies this, a little treat for anyone seriously considering putting a Despicable Me 2 poster on their wall. With the wide eyes and generous use of creative white space, you can’t help but imagine the havoc about to ensue. Our best guess involves some Super Glue, a baseball bat and a bucket of gunge.

1 Thor The Dark World had the best poster of 2013 but too many of them these days are Photoshop'ed.
Thor The Dark World had the best poster of 2013. I like the movie posters of 2013. That being said most of them now a days are Photoshop'ed I liked it when most movie posters where hand painted and hand drawn back in the late 70's , 80's and the early 90's. I wished so many movie posters where not Photoshop'ed so much. More

3 Love a good one sheet
The blue is the warmest colour and the much ado posters are gorgeous but easily my favourites are the nymphomaniac posters. I also love the x-men posters. I do understand when it is said quotes ruin a poster. Yes it is necessary marketing but the Frances Ha (for me) would be much more eye catching without so much font. The pink photo is wonderful. @J_BUltimatum In a market of saturation, critics quotes are used on cinema posters to firstly attract the specific target audience using keywords such as 'comedy', 'charming' to help express the genre etc, secondly to express the excitement and hype the film has attracted (why wouldn't you flaunt that?) and thirdly to assure potential audience the quality of the said film. Why should they chose to see that over the 100 other films out that month? I've worked in film marketing for 2 years, and when I started I also had the same naive opinion. More

5 X-Men
Love the 3rd X-Men one, with Hugh Jackman layered over... Hugh Jackman. Pointless, but funny. More

6 Critics
As a rule of thumb, I never go to see a film which has several critics reviews plastered all over there poster, for two reasons. Firstly, it makes the poster look crap and cluttered. Secondly, it usually means the film is awful and tries to pull the audiences in with words such as "superb" and sentences such as "Best film of 2013". Two examples of this are Filth and Frances Ha. Two crap films with equally bad posters. Also the Last Exorcism and the Big Wedding posters were both released November 2012... Best of 2013?? I think not! More

7 RE: Now I Dont Want to See You...
L: Dave25 L: GrizBe Do many of these really count as 'The best of 2013' when the movies they advertise aren't out until 2014? he list isn't about the films, it's about the posters....the posters were released in 2013, therefore the best posters of 2013. True, but on the flipside of that, alot of the posters for these 2013 movies were released in 2012... hence my original point. More

10 Now I Dont Want to See You...
I'm sorry but that Now You See Me poster is horrible. Just as rubz as the actual film. More
