Adam McKay
Will Ferrell

Best Film
Hands down, Anchorman. The team chemistry is magic, the jokes are hilarious and the cobbled-together plot left us in a glass case of emotion. We can only hope that they can recapture the same magic in the planned Anchorman 2.
Notable Pairings
Step Brothers, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

What's The Secret Of Their Success?
The trick to getting the best out of Will Ferrell appears to be giving him the space, and the trust, to allow him to noodle his way around the script and find the greatness within - but not to let him go completely bananas. McKay seems to have nailed the formula in a way that few other directors have, allowing Ferrell room to breathe but somehow still coming up with a coherent film - even if, as sometimes seems the case, it was all pasted together in the edit room.

Were They As Good With Anyone Else?
McKay's work outside his collaborations with Ferrell has mostly been in shorts, so it's hard to judge how well he does with others. Ferrell, however, has done good work elsewhere (Elf, Zoolander, Stranger Than Fiction) - but if he died tomorrow, we'd want Ron Burgundy to read his eulogy.
