What's The Secret Of Their Success?
Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell have been best friends since the year dot. It was down to both of them that Raimi got his first directorial break, playing about with Super 8 cameras as teenagers and putting together Within The Woods in 1978 (they were 19 years old at the time), a horror short that eventually raised 350,000 and kickstarted Raimi's career. And so, as time went on and The Evil Dead series began, Raimi brought Campbell in, and the rest is horror history. Another great example of BFFs making BFFT (Bloody fantastic films together). Obvs.

Were They As Good With Anyone Else?
For the most part Campbell's failed to deliver without his buddy Sam in tow, preferring to do more in TV instead, such as Burn Notice - but his voicework for Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs (he was the mayor) is tip-top. Raimi's proved he can work well without his best bud quite a few times, most recently in Drag Me To Hell.
