HELLBOY

Price: £11.18

The original Hellboy was blessed with more than its fair share of excellent poster art, from writer/creator/artist Mike Mignola’s teaser one-sheet to Drew Struzan’s take. But it was this red ‘n’ black (and yellow) number that made it to the steelbook, with the colours lightened and the position slightly tilted. It also doesn’t have the release date to remind you just how long ago it was when it came out (2004, fact fans).

1 Avid Collector
Great article Empire! I'm a big collector of Steelbooks and it's nice to see an article on them. Unfortunately I only started collecting so missed out on some crackers like the first Iron Man and Thor and now they are way to expensive to buy. For any movie fan, these special editions are a must have and the artwork on most of them (there are a few stinkers out there) is gorgeous. The only gripe I have is that some of them are only 1 Disc versions instead of the full 3 disc editions - a good example of this is Inception. More

2 Metropolitan landscape? (Steelbook #26)
You do know that these things are stored on shelves with just the spine showing? Anyway, who's going to afford £94.99 to buy this? You'll probably have the only one -- as a freebie in part payment for this shameless plug. More

3 Bland
Yeah, this is pretty much just an advertisement. Some are nice, most are bland. Arrow Video do many far superior steel books to this as do Universal. More

4 RE: What a joke
L: dnfoley Please rename this article "35 Steelbooks We Were Paid by Zavvi to Endorse!" his... How the hell can most of these be 'The best looking' when it's just a DVD box art slapped onto a steel case? Considering the price links, its soo totally obvious Empires been paid off to advertise this. More

5 Where's Duel SE?
That was the first ever steel book in the UK and was totally original. Rubbish article and completely pointless. More

7 THIS IS A BULLSHIT LIST
This is a bullshit list. A large number of these are ZAVVI steelbooks that aren't special at all. I've got a bunch of steelbooks which are vastly superior to half of these choices. Do we suspect a Zavvi kickback? More

9 What a joke
This is a joke. A few listed aren't even available yet, and the art on a website sometimes better/worse than when you get it in hand. You're showing concept art for The Little Mermaid when it's clearly not like that design. No mention of the Taiwanese "Lion King", the Canadian "Iron Man", the worldwide release of "The Green Hornet". Please rename this article "35 Steelbooks We Were Paid by Zavvi to Endorse!" More

I was rather upset to see the artwork for the Big Trouble steelbook. I think it's terrible. More blue sky? Why is that a good thing? Most of the film takes place either at night in the rain, or underground. The original UK artwork is far superior because it actually captures the mood and tone of the film better. More

The Reservoir Dogs jerry can certainly looks really cool, but the contents were a bit rubbish. The actual disc sleeve was flimsy and just kind of rattled about. I got rid of it and just bought the regular blu-ray. Quite disappointing. More

13 What's this?
No Terminator 2? No Total Recall? No Return of the the Living Dead? Shame on you, Empire! More

14 No Rumble Fish!!!?
I cannot see how (http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/rumble-fish-steelbook-edi tion/10610300.html?vwo_ppr=a) the Rumble Fish has not made the list. Terminator also. More
