The Best Movie Posters Of 2012
Our pick of the year's one-sheets

Essentially the opposite of the much-loved Ultimate Collection Of Badly Photoshopped Movie Posters, this 30-strong gathering of superb one-sheets is a tribute to designers who've knocked it out of the park this year, creating bedroom-wall-worthy beauties that will stand the test of time whether the film was terrible, great or just not your sort of thing. So sit back, relax, and prepare to wish you could order all of these gems in one massive (and incredibly expensive) go.

The Best Movie Posters Of 2012 | The Amazing Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man

Taking a leaf out of The Phantom Menace's book well, its poster book, anyway The Amazing Spider-Man's teaser one-sheet plays with concepts of light and dark, shadows and eight-legged creepy crawlies. Presumably, the shadow from the thorax onwards is cast by Andrew Garfield's stupendous quiff.

L: TheBigLewbowski Splitting heirs in the standard film nerd kind of way, that's not a "Palace", it's the Houses of Parliament. Stop getting Bond wrong. hat is The Palace of Westminster, it is the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses that form the Parliament of the United Kingdom. So Empire is correct. More

4 Gotham Falls
Where was the amazing first teaser for The Dark Knight Rises where the crumbling skyline of Gotham formed the Bat logo? That was one of if not the awesomest poster of 2012 even better than the awesome Bane & Broken cowl teaser. Shame the TDR theatrical posters weren't as good and mostly fell under the badly photoshopped catergory. Shame they used one of them or the Blu-ray cover instead of one of the teasers like on The Dark Knight where they used the Joker teaser. As for Skyfall same problem as TDKR the awesome teaser poster of Bond walking through the gun barrel logo was let down by the awkward, badly photoshopped and frankly boring teaser posters. The IMAX one was great though. More
