Deadshot
Once thought to be on the side of good, this gun for hire is the best in the business. A sworn enemy of Batman, he is a deadly accurate shot and wears a metal mask with a single targeting scope on the right side. He has a desire to die, but doesn't want to kill himself, hoping instead that someone will take him down in a blaze of glory.

Would he work in Nolan's world?
Certainly, though there is a bit of a hitch. The 'bad guy who has no fear of death' angle has already been covered by The Joker. As has the 'Batman's equal and exact opposite' story. But it could be done, if you brought his yearning for an elaborate death at someone's else's hand to the fore, maybe making him an old friend of Bruce Wayne - both come from tragic, wealthy families - who's taken the dark path, giving Batman a conflict over saving or destroying him.

Who would we cast?
Matthew McConnaughey. Yes, it sounds a little odd, but he'd make a good evil twin for Christian Bale and remember that Heath Ledger seemed strange Joker casting at first. He'd just need good direction. We could also see Chiwetel Ejiofor take him on. Or Clive Owen.
