From its triumph at Sundance to its Oscar and BAFTA wins, Little Miss Sunshine was the success story of the year. Whether it was the desperate father, the forthright mother, the stoned Grandpa, the scholarly Uncle, the silently raging brother or the questioning sister, the dysfunctional Hoover family struck a chord with audiences everywhere. And if that wasn't enough, they made us laugh as well. Michael Arndt's script bulged with (quite literally) running gags and comically-constructed set-pieces that could only add to the heart and soul of this ensemble tour de force.
