Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Title Revealed
And it's shooting now...

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Official Logo

After months of guesses, speculation and one reveal of Ben Affleck’s Batman in a monochrome picture, we now know the title for Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel follow-up. Prepare yourself to visit a cinema in 2016 to see…. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Clearly intended to lead – as everyone and their super-powered uncle could have predicted – into Warner Bros. planned Justice League film, Batman V Superman will see DC Comics’ two titans (along with Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher's Cyborg and whoever else shows up in cameo form etc.) duking it out over some difference of opinion, egged on by Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, until they realise their forces are better united.

Though he shot some early footage quite a while back, Snyder is now officially rolling the cameras on the film in Michigan, with Henry Cavill back as Supes alongside Affleck, Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons (as Batman’s butler, Alfred) and Holly Hunter in a role shrouded in secrecy, which the official announcement says was created for the film.

Snyder will shoot in Detroit and Illinois as well as in Africa and the South Pacific, for an extensive production written once again by David S. Goyer. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is set for worldwide release on May 6, 2016.

Title should make for an interesting discussion at Superhero Cafe!
Batman's name first, reflecting the bigger box office draw no doubt. Maybe Batman: Dawn of Justice would have been better, ignoring the dreadful Superman 'reboot that's basically the first two 1970s Superman movies mashed together' seems like a good idea to me. BTW, anyone who hasn't watched the HISHE for the Lego Movie should do so IMMEDIATELY! More

RE: Dark Knight Sequel
L: sleepwalker Ive thought about the new flim a lot today, Afflecks Batman is already considered to be much older and retired at the beginning of the film (I read somewhere) Nolan has said TDKR was the end of his story, however he doesn't own this franchise, Warners do, so whats to stop them just making this a continuation of Bales run, they don't necessarily even have to recognize it officially they can make just enough parallell's to make it a continuation. ecause then they'd have More

RE:
Like the name. A lot. The 'v' instead of 'vs' is a very nice symmetrical touch, that beautifully resembles that it could have been the other way around as well and that one is not per se more than the other. It's also a nice way to seperate them from 'vs' movies like 'alien vs predator' 'godzilla vs king kong' and such. More

RE: Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Title Revealed
Personally I think da film title is fine it was the very same reaction when people heard the Dark Knight Rises for the first time. Fuck it we all knew that this was going to be a setup film for Justice League anyway so not big surprise!! Maybe they should have left it just Batman V Superman but now we know exactly what to expect. I seriously hope beyond hope that they actually make it work and take their time with it, Snyder is a great talent and the cast sounds fine it just better not be a for More

Sigh
I can't believe they actually went with a 'v' title. It makes it sound tacky as nearly all v/vs films have been tacky and crap (Alien vs Predator, Freddy vs Jason etc). No problem with the subtitle but Man Of Steel: Dawn Of Justice would've been much better, especially as it's kind of supposed to be a sequel to that movie. A lot of people are pitching World's Finest, and I see why. I don't like it, but it would've been a better option than a v title. I know it's just a title but it suggests a la More

Its a bad title, however that doesn't mean that it isnt going to be a good film, Its a shame they didn't go with worlds finest. I also have an issue with any Vs films, as they are usually pitting one against the other however one never fully wins! More

FRANK MILLER.......has tears in his eyes.
You see what they really could have called it was The Dark Knight Returns but not sure Frank would like! I reckon the film will rock however what really bothers me is not the creatives involved but the greedy business men CEO's who have as much creative knowledge as a small tiny group of apes at a PG fucking Tips tea party! You see them mother fuckers sit at a table and want to see numbers and seeing as The Avengers rocked they just want to see the money and will force the creatives to make More

weak
why the shit didnt they call it 'worlds finest' i thought that was a no brainer considering every batman/superman crossover comic ever has been called worlds finest. Why does everything have to be the bullshit of something 'age of darkness' 'rise of the revenge' 'the tomatoe of ultimate legends' etc... blah blah bah boring. Personally i think they should have called it 'Maximum Polarity 3: The final revenge' just to fuck with people. Or Batman versus Superman versus Bigfoot IN SPACE! More

It's a bit strained...
I was hoping they'd drop the 'Batman V Superman' nonsense, but given how much press the film has had by that title, I guess I at least understand why they've kept it. We should have known this was the kind of title coming when there were reports of Warners buying up a hundred and one urls with different potential titles. Honestly, it's like it was one person's job, at the brainstorming table, to snap them up as they were coming. More

Hmmmmm....
A tad bit long in my opinion. It sounds like a sequel to Batman Vs Superman really, but I know some "genius" is prepping us for the Justice League, hence the subtitle. Batman V Superman would have been fine, or World's Finest. But hey, the logo is pretty wicked...And in the end, I'm just glad I know what to call the feckin thing :) More

Wonder why they made it "V" instead of "Vs." . . . kind of makes it read like a court case or something. More
