Michael Fassbender Wants To Trespass Against Us
He's in talks for the gangster film

As if he didn’t have a busy enough schedule as it is, Michael Fassbender (yes, note the F there, Twitter smart arses) is in negotiations for another role. He’s eyeing the lead in Adam Smith’s gangster drama Trespass Against Us.

With a script by Alastair Siddons, the film follows three generations of outlaws who delight in illegal hunting, ram-raiding stately homes and defying the Rozzers.

Then there’s the rebellious son – Fassbender, if he takes the part – who is a little sick of the crooked criminal life and wants to find a path to the straight and narrow. Naturally, his father isn’t too pleased to hear that.

If the likely presence of the Bender of Fass isn’t enough of a draw, Smith has raided his contacts book and cajoled the Chemical Brothers to compose the score. He already had a bit of an in with them, as he directed their documentary, Don’t Think. In addition to his music-based work, Smith earned his stripes directing the likes of Skins and Doctor Who. Trespass Against Us would mark his big screen debut.

Fassbender will next be seen in Ridley Scott’s The Counsellor (out November 15), before following that with 12 Years A Slave on January 10. Then there’s a little film called X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which hits on May 22. He’s also been working on an untitled Terrence Malick film and weird comedy drama Frank. Currently, he’s in New Zealand working on Slow West.
