Robin Williams In Talks For Night At The Museum 3
Back with Ben Stiller & co.

Night At The Museum

Shawn Levy has long been threatening talking about the idea of revisiting the Night At The Museum franchise, even while straying off in different directions with Real Steel and The Internship more recently. The third film in the series was confirmed back in February, and Robin Williams, one of the key players besides Levy and Ben Stiller, is in talks to return.

Williams played former US president Teddy Roosevelt in the first two films, Night At The Museum and Night At The Museum: Battle Of The Smithsonian. Most of the details of the new outing are being kept locked in an air-conditioned vault, but we do know that Stiller’s Larry Daley will be off to London for all manner of museum madness.

Beyond the fact that Levy wants to kick off filming next February, there’s no word yet on whether any of Williams and Stiller’s co-stars will show up (although we’d bet there will be a few of the regulars, including Owen Wilson) and no writers have been announced. Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant wrote the first two, so we figure Fox already has them hard at work.

Williams, who was last seen playing another president (Dwight D. Eisenhower) in The Butler (that one hits our screens on November 15), has Boulevard and Merry Friggin’ Christmas awaiting release. He’s also been back on the small screen across the pond for sitcom The Crazy Ones, which just scored a full first season episode order.
