New Images From Ridley Scott's The Counsellor
And a new poster, too...

04 September 2013  |  Written by James White  |  Source: The Playlist

Despite having more than one trailer for Ridley Scott’s latest, The Counsellor, the marketing bods seem intent on releasing enough stills from the thriller to enable interested cinemagoers to create a flipbook of some scenes. Still, when you have the photogenic likes of Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt in your cast, we don’t see that as much of a problem. Take a look at the latest batch below (courtesy of The Playlist), alongside a new poster.

Written by Cormac McCarthy, The Counsellor finds Fassbender as a slick lawyer who figures he can dangle his toes in the drug money game just long enough to strike it rich without getting bitten by any of the sharks that swim in that particular polluted pool.

As you can tell from the promos so far – or as common sense might tell you – he’s very wrong on that front and is soon dealing with more trouble than he can handle. His problems include Bardem sporting hair that we’re guessing was shot separately in a water tank by ILM and added back on in later, like the Mutara Nebula effect in The Wrath Of Khan.

Promising much tension, stylish shots, Pitt in a big hat and plenty more, The Counsellor will hit UK cinemas on November 15.
