Comic-Con 2013: Mark Gatiss Joins Game Of Thrones
But who will he play?

With the fourth season of Game Of Thrones set to hit our screens next year, the ever-unfolding world of Westeros is expanding yet again. Given the books’ sprawling narrative and the minor cull of characters near the end of the most recent season, there will be new faces to meet. One of them will be very recognisable, as Sherlock co-creator and League Of Gentlemen, er, gentleman Mark Gatiss is aboard.

As to whom exactly he’ll be playing? That’s a mystery for now – writer/producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are playing coy. Which is not surprising given that they’re bringing a Game Of Thrones panel to Comic-Con, and anyone who saw the reports of last year’s event knows that it was used to announce a raft of new casting. Gatiss certainly feels like he could be a great addition, and we'd kill to see him verbally sparring with Peter Dinklage.

So we’d expect to have to wait until Friday, when the Thrones brigade will descend upon the convention to talk up the next season. But Gatiss will also be at the Sherlock panel on Thursday, so he may well let something slip then... Watch this space, but let us know your guesses on who he could be playing in the comments and on Twitter.
