Horrible Bosses

Horrible Bosses may not have been the funniest film of 2011, but the Jason Bateman/Jason Sudeikis/Charlie Day-starring comedy managed to earn $209 million off us punters at the worldwide box office, so Warner Bros. has been working up the sequel for a while. Now the three leads have signed on, and co-star Jamie Foxx is in talks to return as Motherf****r Jones.

Writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are already at work on the script, which is being kept quiet but will probably go down the “if it ain’t broke…” route with more terrible employers for our heroes to face. Hopefully it’ll throw in a few twists along the way.

There may be room for Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey to cameo from the original (Colin Farrell’s combed-over charm offensive, of course – spoiler alertcan't come back). Director Seth Gordon will definitely return, and plans currently call for the cameras to crank later in the summer.

Bateman has just enjoyed success with Melissa McCarthy comedy Identity Thief and has Netflix's take on Arrested Development on the horizon. Sudeikis will next be heard in Fox ‘toon Epic and seen in pot comedy We’re The Millers, while Day is set to provide comic relief in Guillermo del Toro’s robots vs. monsters mash-up Pacific Rim, which lands on July 12.
