The Croods Poster Online
Caveman road trip!

28 September 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Yahoo!

DreamWorks Animation recently announced a huge, ambitious slate of movies set for release over, well, the next 500 years or so. But while Rise Of The Guardians is the next film out of the DW stable on November 30, The Croods is another big part of the plan. We’ve seen one picture of the titular family, and now the poster in online via Yahoo! and can be seen below.

The Croods is set in a fictional “lost” prehistoric era and charts what happens when the family – voiced by Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Cloris Leachman and Clark Duke – are suddenly forced to move from their safe cave due to continental drift.

Grug (Cage) is an overprotective dad who doesn’t want to expose his family to new things – because new in their world usually means dangerous. But when they meet a more advanced specimen of what will become humanity (Ryan Reynolds’ Guy), everyone’s worldview shifts. Especially when they head out on an epic journey...

Originally planned as an Aardman film called Crood Awakening way back in the distant past when the two companies still had a co-production deal the CG ‘toon is now set to arrive on March 22. The trailer should also be hitting our screens soon.
