Lucas Till Tackling Wolves
David Hayter's directing

Lucas Till Tackling Wolves

Wolves? Where’s Liam Neeson when you really need him? Oh, that’s right: helping to save his family (and himself) again. So it looks like Lucas Till will be facing down against the vicious creatures alone in David Hayter’s new movie Wolves.

But from the sounds of it, Wolves will not just be a simple man-vs-nature tale. The plot finds Till as an 18-year-old who has to hit the bricks after his parents die, his mind running with questions about his ancestry. He ends up in an isolated town and soon discovers that there’s more to his background than he thought.

Hayter, who has written the likes of X-Men, X2, Watchmen and The Scorpion King, is getting to make his film-directing debut with the movie, which will tackle werewolves in a new way. At least, that’s the plan: "This is a story that is close to my heart and a film that I hope will be a departure for the genre," Hayter tells Variety. He already has Igor Studios’ Dave Elsey, a veteran of X-Men: First Class’s Beast, at work on the creatures.

Incidentally, Till played Havok in First Class and has worked on horror tale Stoker, which will be out on March 1 next year.

Bout Fucking Time Hollywood
David Hayter is one of the most undertated and underused screenwriters; and now hopefully film-makers in the business. Virtually all of his projects get shut down by corporate hollywood just when they're ready to push past writing. Finally someone is giving the man a chance to show his skill. Watchmen could have been a thousand times better if he was directing as well as writing! More
